The “NETRA“-NEtwork TRaffic Analysis system for internet surveillance which will be launched by the Indian government and it has been developed by Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) lab.
The purpose of the NETRA is to analyses the voice traffic such as Skype and Google Talk and other messenger, ans also detect words like ‘attack’, ‘bomb’, ‘blast’ or ‘kill’ from the tweets, status updates, emails, internet calls, blogs or forums.
